I am the Undercover Hipster...

and I’ve taken it upon myself to explore all the swinging hot spots in the northwest quadrant of Washington (DC that is), the watering holes and alcoholic homes away from homes for the capital city’s hipster population. The neighborhoods I’ve infiltrated are Columbia Heights and Mt. Pleasant (where I dwell).

Hipster or not, this site aims to be a good resource for where to go in DC if you’re looking for something new and something...well, hip and not Georgetown or DuPont. Plus, it’s always good to support the little, independent businesses in the area. (Now, that is a hipster thing to say...) So I invite you to brush your bangs from your eyes, tie those canvas shoes, and zip up your skinny jeans - it’s party time.
